Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Asset Operations

Virtual Brain Renewables (VBR) is an analytics-based digital asset management platform that enables the operations team to monitor and manage renewable assets from one centralized location. Currently deployed in India, VBR provides monitoring of key renewable assets and offers real-time data and indicators including wind speed, temperature, power output, rotor diameter, blade position, plant load factors as well as wind versus power generation efficiency curves. The digital platform provides information that helps with performance monitoring, forecasting, real-time condition monitoring, and anomaly detection, which will give the operations team insights into predictive maintenance.

Supporting India’s Green Ambitions

Sembcorp holds the unique distinction in India of being the first independent power producer to have fully commissioned its projects awarded in the first three wind auctions held by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). Sembcorp's 800MW wind project milestone remains a matter of pride for both the nation and the industry. The three generating assets provide reliable and affordable energy solutions backed by cutting-edge technology and indigenisation. Together, these assets provide enough clean energy to power more than 600,000 homes and avoid over 2 million tonnes per annum of carbon dioxide emissions.
