Taking Healthcare to Our Communities

Sembcorp endeavours to bring quality healthcare closer and more accessible to local communities in areas where it operates. Efforts to improve the quality of life and provide access to better public healthcare are at the heart of our community engagements.

Sembcorp’s initiatives around healthcare and well-being are improving the quality of life of the communities in and around its operational areas. Sembcorp’s healthcare initiatives like periodic health camps, awareness drives on seasonal diseases, regular doctor visits to local villages and prescribed medicines given free of cost are providing significant benefits to the communities. These health camps are also helping in screening and referring cases based on criticality, to the government or private hospital, to avail government’s free medical service schemes.

To reach remote areas, we have deployed Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) at our renewable sites in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, delivering primary healthcare right to the doorsteps of underserved populations. These interventions strengthen the availability of proper medical facilities and ensure that even the most vulnerable communities receive timely care.

Through these healthcare interventions, Sembcorp is not only providing access to healthcare facilities to the local communities where we operate but also contribute towards the achievement of the UN SDGs.
